Hi,

Two of our trained AutoML models are failed to connect. We are referring this page https://cloud.google.com/translate/docs/languages for language code to use when calling the API. For Simplified-Chinese model, we use 'zh_CN'. For Hebrew, we use 'he'. Are these the right language codes to use in the API call?

Regards
Eric

What are the source/target languages listed in the AutoML Translation UI page for these models (see attachment for screenshot)? Could you please try to use them?
I believe 'zh-CN' or 'zh' (not 'zh_CN') is the correct language code. 'he' seems fine to me, you can also try with 'iw'.

The listed target language is "zh" for Simplified-Chinese model, "iw" for Hebrew model, I do not see an option to select "zh-CN" or "he" when train the models.
the connection works fine if use "zh" and "iw" as target language, but failed when use "zh-CN and "he", does that mean "zh-CN" and "he" are not supported?
The referred document seems saying support all these target language codes, which is confusing, by default our translation tool sent "zh-CN" and "he" which is easier to manage, otherwise need a code change to force overwirte the default target language code, just want to clarify if AutoML indeed support "zh-CN" and "he"?

Eric

Hi,
In the Cloud AutoML Translation API supported languages page, the code specified for Hebrew is iw and the code for Simplified Chinese can be specified either by zh-CN or zh.

Hope this helps,
Best,
