The attribution guidelines states:

Applications using the Google Translate API must state in the application description and help documentation that Google Translate is used to power translation within the application and provide links to to the Google Translate site.

Would the "application description" be the same as "Assembly description" for applications in Visual Studio?

Thanks!

The application description refers to any marketing materials that describe the application and features. For example, if you created an Android app, this means you would need to state in the Android Market description for the app that Google Translate is used to power translation within the app.

I am also interested in this topic. If I want to use Google Translate in an offline application (for which I just translate texts in regular intervals) that is not marketed or sold to end users in any way but rather part of an exhibition installation, where am I required to attribute Google Translate? -- It would not be possible to include it in the application itself.
