How do I use GTM Xcode Plugin to add a preference panel to Xcode that allows you to strip whitespace off of the ends of lines on save

Hi, first I'll like to say that I'm completely new to GTM.  I read on the Chromium MacBuildInstructions page https://code.google.com/p/chromium/wiki/MacBuildInstructions that I could use the GTM Xcode Plugin to add a preference panel to Xcode that allows you to strip whitespace off of the ends of lines on save. I'll like to have this set up on my Mac. I downloaded the source code for GTM Xcode Plugin but don't know how to proceed from here. Could someone give a step by step guide on how to add the preference to Xcode using this source and how to access it? Thanks for your help.

We've retired the plugin because Xcode has had this ability built in for a while.  Check the Xcode finally added support for this a while back.  I believe the setting is Xcode > Preferences > Text Editing > Editing tab > While Editing section.
