ERROR: snapshot creation process failed unexpectedly

I continuously get the message "ERROR: snapshot creation process failed unexpectedly".

I have the most important information of my life in my google tasks. Backing them up safely before the truncation at the end of this month is my highest priority.

Please help me if possible.

I've spoken to other people who have said that they experience the same problem but that repeatedly trying to create snapshot can eventually result in it working... but it's a total gamble. I've been trying non-stop with no luck. It usually says "building" half an hour or so.
