The Great Outdoors needed to grab the purchase price of a trip out of the URL to record the amount of each users' purchase.
To do that, they wrote javascript code that extracted the price out of their Thank You page URL and pushed the price into a Data Layer variable in the Data Layer.
They then set up a Custom Metric in Google Analytics that mapped back to the Data Layer variable, so they could see the total amount that users were spending on purchasing trip from their Travel Adventures website.
