Hello,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a clear
answer. I want to participate in GSoC, and I wanted to know if I need
to have my own idea of a project for a mentoring organization to
participate, or if I can apply to some pre-defined/existing projects.

Thanks in advance,

both, but i suggest you if you are going to apply with your own idea, discuss it first with the organization
