Hi,
I am Masters student and would like to contribute to the GSoC 2012 on projects involving OpenCV, PCL (Pointclouds) and ROS. I have been using them for my projects. Is there any other discussion forum where these projects have been discussed? How do I contact mentors who handled this project in GSoC 2011? I would like to propose few projects and want to know if they can be considered for GSoC and what is to be done in order to make it better. Any help regarding this is appreciated.

Hi,

I've been a GSoC student for PCL this year. I think the best starting point
would be the pcl-users mailing list, see pointclouds.org for details ;-)

I guess it's the same for OpenCV and ROS, though I'm not sure about that.

Cheers,
Andreas

Hey thanks for the quick reply.
Do you this i should discuss the GSoC project ideas on pcl-users mailing list? I felt the mailing list is not for this purpose so hesitated to do so. That is why i posted here.

Hi there,

I would recommend you search for each of the organizations on our
participating organizations page from last year [1] and visit their
homepage to get information on their preferred method of
communication. It may be a mailing list or an IRC channel or simply
someone's email, but this is the best way to reach out to them.

Good luck!
