entry to coding network of G soc

hey i wanted to if i need to be very efficient in programming part or the algorithm part or just what part i need to focus on? and i am really confused which language to prefer for trying to get into  GSoc ; and if how to begin preparing for Gsoc , what are the basics one needs to learn before thinking of joining Gsoc , and yes and help and comment will be a great move and i will be honestly thankful ,

You're so fixated on getting into GSoC that you aren't ready to learn what really interests you. Pick any popular language you like and just start learning it, make some projects and contribute to some open source projects in order to get a better grasp on the language.

No, this list is open to anyone interested in GSoC.

There are separate lists for students only and mentors only that are for those accepted into the program.
