Mailing list addition

Hello,

I recieved an e-mail that I got accepted for GSOC 2010. However, I
wasn't yet invited on the students' mailing list. I have a colleague
that got
the same confirmation e-mail as I did and he got an invitation for the
mailing list two days ago. I was wondering whether this is an omission
or invitations are not sent all at once. Could you please verify this.

I have a guess that they are staggering the mails and going alphabetically :-)
My friend whose initials are AB got it a few hours after the result. I
think we have to wait
since we are in the second half of the alphabet.

Hi,

My name starts with F and I already get on the group, like 3
days ago. However, I receive no such thing as "Welcome" e-mail; Just
the fresh posted e-mails on list.
The best way to see if you are already in is to look at your
google groups configurations and see if you are in the group; the
correct one is "Google Summer of Code Students List". Since there was
only like 5 posts with subjects that could be in this list, I only
noticed I was at the group because some the e-mails passed by my
filter.

Patience, please, it will be ok. You will be subscribed to the list if
you were accepted to the program this year. I am working on it
furiously as we speak and people are being added in groups.
