Hi,
I have this query about the account of citi bank through which Google
is paying us. (just wanted to make sure)
- Is it possible (and correct) that I can use it as a regular account
to receive payment from someone in USA.
- Is this account valid till only May/2012 (or before) as given on the
card.
I would appreciate if any side note or advice you want to include
(specially links to the threads which you might have replied or
created related to this topic).
Cheers,
UD

This is simply just a prepaid card; not a traditional bank account that
you're thinking.
As for validity: the card (and its funds) become useless i believe -- so
drain it before the expiration using an ATM..

I just have one simple doubt about the validity as it says May/2012 on card, does that mean I will be able to use this prepaid account for transactions till that date. I remember Ajay somehow enabled his paypal account using his gsoc payment card which enables him to receive payments through paypal, will he be able to use his account with paypal till May/2012 ?
Last year the validity of the payment card was till March/2009 (till the start of next GSoC).
Correct me if I am wrong.

I believe that what's on the card is correct. If you're in doubt, call citi bank and ask them.

To add: you probably are better off asking citi anyways. I doubt you'd get a better response here versus asking citi directly...

closing the thread, I got the answer...only Google Inc.(Employer) can add money to gsoc 2009 citi prepaid account.
