Can working Professionals join GSOC

Hi Community, 

                       Can folks working in MNC's be a part of this competition?? Or any way else they can help in any open source Project development? My fields of interest are R and Python?

Google Summer of Code is for university students. But all open source organizations are looking for new contributors. You should look through the 2018 organizations that have participated in GSoC to help you narrow down to a smaller subset of orgs that might peak your interest, you can also look through previous years in the GSoC archive too. Then start reading up on their documentation and hanging out in their chat channel and see where you can help out.
