We require that you be over 18 and a current student at an accredited university. We also require that you treat Google Summer of Code like your full time job over the summer so if you already have a full time job you might not be a good fit for the program.

I think this answers my question..I really liked the way google summer
of code is handled.so..i was just curious about the participation..my
next question may not be relevant to this discussion group though..I
know that there is another way to participate in open source projects
through google...do you know anything about that?
