Hi. I’d like to register as a contributor but I reside in Syria. Syrian sanctions have been lifted since July 2025, will I be able to participate in GSoC this year?

Hi. I’d like to register as a contributor but I reside in Syria. Syrian sanctions have been lifted since July 2025, will I be able to participate in GSoC this year? 

Due to remaining export control restrictions, Google cannot allow participation in Google Summer of Code from Syria. Google will continue to monitor regulatory developments for future Google Summer of Code programs.
