Hello,
I am a statistics graduate student with a cs option trying to develop
a thesis project that involves improving the statistics module for
sympy (the symbolic toolbox for python.) I am posting this because I
am interested in finding people that I could contact or resources that
I could use to help get this project off of the ground. Specifically I
would be interested in understanding who helps to fund open source
software, and where I might be able to find an advisor to give me some
support on the project. Any suggestions of how to get advising,
financial support, etc. would be very helpful.
