Hi!

I've noticed some postings about help in choosing an organization, and remember what it's like to be a college student who likes to do things at the last minute. So do consider MySQL's Summer of Code, at http://forge.mysql.com/wiki/SummerOfCode

There's some interesting "new" projects (that weren't there last week), including for replication & backup development, and two that don't touch the MySQL codebase directly (MySQL auditing software and an "anti-profiler" tool to analyze database engines). Best of all, these are mentored by *community* members, not MySQL AB employees.

So if you're looking for a project, and still haven't found one, do consider hacking on MySQL this summer!

Kind regards
