A big congratulations to our 1,142 Google Summer of Code 2026 contributors! We're thrilled to welcome participants from 60 countries who will collaborate with 183 open source mentoring organizations this year.
We understand that GSoC can be highly competitive. If you weren’t selected this year, please don’t let this discourage you from becoming an open source contributor. There are countless valuable ways to join OSS communities and stay involved outside of GSoC. Continuing to learn more about open source by actively contributing will improve your skills and bring you into a community of enthusiastic developers.
