Custom log based Metrics doesn't work

Feature is not working on my side.

i setup log based metric but when i try to use it in Stackdriver Monitoring no entries where shown.

The Metric itself is shown in Dropdown but it has no Resource Type :( so no items.

On the logging i get information's for my Filter.

Please make sure your logs are sent to the correct project. If you have a mismatch between the project that receives your logs and the project that your VMs are running in, you'll get behavior like this.

Such a mismatch may happen when you use a private key from the wrong project to authenticate.

Hey Falk,

Another (related) option is that you may not have any matching log entries since the metric was created.  Logs based metrics are not retroactive so log entries would need to arrive after you saved your logs based metric.

That could be the Solution. The metric i created only has entries sone day‘s back. I will test that
