Is gcloud compute instances stop gracefule or ungraceful

For resiliency testing we need to do ungraceful shutdown.

Please confirm on below points

1) Is gcloud compute instances stop [instacne name] graceful or ungraceful?

2) if it is graceful what it does in background like whch command it uses to shutdown?

3) We need ungraceful way to stop vm instance , could you please suggest what need to do via command to do a ungraceful shutdown?
