Each time I start this app it says my compass accuracy is unreliable and that I need to recalibrate it. I've the method it showed me to do so many times it made my arms tired, then I tried the 8 method quite a few times and it still didn't work. I went into Google Maps and used the compass and it seems to be working quite well. So I don't understand why it isn't working on Sky Map.

Hi Christopher. Sky Map shows that screen when the compass reports to it that it needs recalibrating. Bugs are always possible of course, but (assuming things are working correctly) Sky Map is just telling you what the compass is telling it. If I recall correctly there's a check box so you can stop the dialog showing, so if it's bothersome you can just disable it (bearing in mind that you compass might not be accurate, of course).
