Search function on Google Sky MAps

I have a Samsung Note 5.  I installed the current Google Sky Maps.  I can not find the search anywhere.  I did see a reply from Sean on another thread, stating to......Try pressing and holding the multitasking button next to the Home button.  I try that and all that comes up a notice stating that the current screen does not support split screen.  Any thoughts?
