Hello Search Educators,
Google’s Search Education team is pleased to announce our October
Webinar, “Understanding Creative Commons,” by award-winning high
school journalism teacher and Vice Chair of Creative Commons, Esther
Wojcicki.
When: October 11, 11 am (Pacific)—to be archived here:
https://sites.google.com/site/gwebsearcheducation/webinars.
Description: Have you ever tried looking for images, music, or text
that are not licensed under copyright law? Or sharing one of your own
creations more freely? This talk introduces Creative Commons
licensing, and how it is being used to promote Open Education
Resources (OER). Creative Commons can enhance classroom learning and
train students to respect and understand intellectual property,
copyright and open licensing. The talk will also cover who is now
using CC licensing and how Google can help promote further use.
