Google Safe Browsing Phishing List (Safebrowsing threatlists list)

Hi,

May I know whether there is a simple way to download the above-mentioned list?

In fact, I have tried to download it via Google API under the following link.

https://developers.google.com/apis-explorer/?hl=en_GB#search/safebrowsing.threatlists.list/m/safebrowsing/v4/safebrowsing.threatLists.list

Unfortunately, it took me a long times and yet able to do so.

Please advise.

I think something is not working with the API Explorer integration.

There are some examples on how to use the API (which could be used with 'curl') in the developer docs: https://developers.google.com/safe-browsing/v4/update-api

There is also an open source implementation here: https://github.com/google/safebrowsing

It can download lists and check urls.

As the developer docs show, the threat lists communicate hash prefixes, not full urls. So other than some manual testing with curl and running sha256sum, it is useful to use or write software to use the API.

Frankly speaking, I am not a programmer or developer. Hence, really don't understand how to setup all these. 

Sorry...is there a simple way likes a link where I can download the database straight away?

Ken,

the lists in the GSB are not text lists of hostname or URLs.  they are lists of hashed values.  as such, even if you were to download the list, you'd have only a bunch of binary hash values.

as such, there is no way to get a listing of "bad urls" or similar from GSB.  This is google being a good steward of public data, albeit a bit frustrating for more simplistic cases.
