Suyoubi:

This issue came up in another thread:

http://groups.google.com/group/google-safe-browsing-api/browse_thread/thread/364648526ad64a8f

Check that thread -- Garrett provided the preferred/working URL syntax
you should be using.

(Also, in the future, be sure to mask out your personal API key when
posting to the group. That key is private between you and Google
alone.)

The example of proper URL syntax may be abbreviated in that other
thread. Here it is here:

h t t ps://sb-ssl.google.com/safebrowsing/api/lookup?client=demo-app&apikey=12345&appver=1.5.2&pver=3.0&url=http%3A%2F%2Fianfette.org%2F

(Drop the leading spaces at the beginning of the URL, and of course
swap in your API key.)

My response was regarding using the Google Safe Browsing Lookup API.
If you are using the downloadable DB, then my response does not apply.

For the downloads API you need to specify a request body. See http://code.google.com/apis/safebrowsing/developers_guide_v2.html#HTTPRequestForData for more details.
