Hi All,
I've seen the RecurrenceIterator.advanceTo() method which advances to
the first occurrence AFTER the specified date.
Would anyone else find it useful to be able to advance the iterator to
the first occurrence BEFORE the specified date?
Here's the use case where I would find such a feature as useful:
Recurrence rule is weekly, every Wed. from 10am to 11am. I need to be
able to determine if a particular date time range occurs during any of
the recurrence's occurrences. A sample input is a date range from
3/2/2011 10:30am to 3/2/2011 11:00am. In order to know if this
overlaps with an occurrence in the recurrence rule, I could use a
feature on the RecurrenceIterator to advance to the first occurrence
BEFORE 3/2/2011 10:30am.
What do you think? Would anyone else find this capability useful as
part of this library?
Thanks,
Eric
