Hello,

I'm using InfoBox on my map.

When I zoom in or out on the map the InfoBox instances remain. As
expected.
However they seem to worsen the browser's performance during the view
effect (the InfoBoxes themselves are in fact for a short time
"streched").

Is there a way to remove them before the zoom effect?
I can then add them again in the zoom_changed event of the map, to
ensure zooming performance is not affected.

In fact maps.google.com seems have this same behaviour (removing
Infowindows before zoom, and adding them after).

Regards,
Pieter

Unfortunately, there is no "zoom_started" event that would make this
possible. I don't find the visual effect that problematic although it
may be if you have a complex InfoBox.

I'm not sure how Google handles the situation for
google.maps.InfoWindow -- perhaps they can let us in on the secret.

Hmm,

Yes they are quite complex. Including some jQuery visuals, images,
like buttons, tweet buttons, you name it.
Chrome and IE seem to handle that fine. FF has difficulties not to
blow steam out of the exhaust of my laptop.

Suggestions?

Can you post two example maps, one using InfoBox and one using
google.maps.InfoWindow so I can see the problem in action?
