Hi,

I'm a Google Maps API v3 user. When I zoom in or out my map.markers on
the map may accidentally disappear. I have to pan the map around and
zoom to make markers appear again.is it a bug of new beta API ? does
anyone have the same problem?

Thanks

We really can't help if you don't post a link to your site. We have no
way to see what's going on.

Hey Cryrivers,

I've had a similiar issue, but found it only occurred when I use
trackpad gestures/scroll wheel (same event).
I've set 'scrollwheel' as false in the map config (http://
code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/v3/reference.html#MapOptions).
Not really a solution, but double click zoom may be another option,
not that I've tried it.

I am currently working on internal dev servers, so I can't share the URL, but I shall try to replicate the issue on a public server.

I think the bug is only in some zones. I got problems on Santiago de
Chile, but the api works ok on Sydney.

Dear Susannah:

I report this problem too.
http://groups.google.com/group/google-maps-js-api-v3/browse_thread/thread/adfae2681010cb5e/5ff40df64d7869aa#5ff40df64d7869aa

I also can't share URL,

but I found tutorial's sample can replicate this problem.

Here is sample page:
http://code.google.com/intl/zh-TW/apis/maps/documentation/v3/examples/icon-complex.html

And I show my test result's snapshot in my report.

If you zoom out to see the whole world, does your marker appear on one
copy of the world?

Susannah -

I'm having the same issue - when you open the page below, my address
pops up - try zooming with the mouse scroll or the [+] [-] scroll

http://www.citynab.com/adsnew.php?lnkid=201003242114270exT2Eg7MYk&rl=myadsdtl&rp=1

On a side note, Isn't the Google Maps team located in Fremont, Seattle
- that's like a block away from me... very cool...

Susannah -

I take that back - the Marker only disappears when you use the mouse
zoom scrolling feature. The Marker will re-appear if you click the [+]
[-] on the map.

I have the same problem with New Zealand.

You can check it out by going to http://www.cartapop.com/search-organic.php
- go to New Zealand using google search or just scroll to NZ. Do a
search for all types.

At the bottom of the page are listed the search result, however all
the markers do not appear on the map. If you move the map some markers
appears and other disappears.

This only happens only at the map regions where the longitude values
changes from positive to negative!

I hope this info helps

Archangel,

You appear to be using v2, the issues this thread is referring to is with regards to v3.

If you could create a simpler example that shows the bug then please email that to the v2 group http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Maps-API

Thanks

Luke

Dear Luke

I have a test page using v3, the problem remains the same. Only

Are you able to provide a link to the test page?

Thanks

It seems this problem has something to do with continuous scrolling.
When I disable continuous scrolling in my javascript the problem goes
away. This isn't a solution but it may help pinpoint the problem.
