Have you investigated this javascript error?

It looks to me like your xml is not being parsed correctly in non-IE
browsers, but I don't see why.

i downloaded it from the google site. maybe I didn't cut and paste it
correctly? But it works here fine:

The problem is the asynchronous nature of XmlHttpRequest...

You need to create the polygon inside the callback function.
