Highlight country on google maps

There is still no way to highlight a country on Google Maps with a Polygon is there? Well I am working on this database. Maybe there are some participants who wants to join me? Send me a mail.
 
Currently i have 12 countries. Check this out what i mean. It can take some time to load so just be pacient. Use  firefox for better performance.

No thanks, that isn't helping because the files doesn't contain any points (lat/lng). Or you might know how to use these files in Google Maps?

Shape files .shp can be translated to kml (which contains lat/lng and
can be use in Google Maps.

I indeed looked at the site diva-gis.
However, at least as France was concerned, the data was far from being
accurate enough.
