Disable infowindow clicking on KML layers

Is it possible to disable the infowindows on KML layers that I setMap to in version 3? I'm having trouble finding the documentation for this.

Have you tried suppressInfowindows?
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/reference.html#KmlLayerOptions

suppressInfoWindows boolean Suppress the rendering of info windows
when layer features are clicked.
