How to highlight city boundary?

I am in an urgent requriement for my project that on click a map show
the area/boundary of cities/state

Hi nayan-

You should probably use Maps API v2, as that has native support for
polygons. Then you need to get city/state data - there's some data
here:
http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Maps-API/web/resources-gisgeographical-data

Please post in the v2 group with more details if you decide to use it.
