Is there any method to get list of points from Direction Service along the route with specified precision

I'm using Direction Service and I wonder is there any method to get list of points along the calculated route with specified precision for example with accuracy 100 meters or 1 kilometer.

The overview_path from DirectionRoute object is not exacly detailed. It contains sometimes 170 points or less.

Can somebody help my with this?

If you go down the DirectionsStep  you have the full  path for the step.
