Adding "directions to here" link into infowindow

Hi,

I am new in Maps API, I started with V3. I have markers on the map,
and need to add links into infowindow of each marker for getting
directions from/to that point. Links might open in a new window - not
necessarily inside my map. I saw this functionality on V2 maps.

Should I manually construct URLs for directions, or is there a way you
could do it directly with the API?

There's no built-in functionality for that in the API right now. We
offer some tips here:

Yes. Directions are available on the v3 API, please see the
documentation and the examples in the documentation.

Hi can you provide specific examples or links to specific items in the documentation I have read to all of the documentation I do not see how to building in the window includes default links from google maps

By default links I'm referring to link such as get directions or search nearby or save the map.

The API does not provide all of the bells and whistles available on the maps.google.com infowindow interface but it provides the building blocks necessary for you to write code to implement things like 'get directions'

You cannot, AFAIK, save to map using the Google My Places maps but you could save locations in your own database for subsequent redisplay
