How to get usage statistics in Maps API V3?

I just heard that usage limits are being instituted on the Maps API. Since it's V3, there is no maps API key or account needed. How do I check with Google to see what my usage is? Is there a way to register my domain or application with Google to track usage?

If you scan the 2-3 paragraphs in the Premier documentation where it describes what constitutes a page view (http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/premier/faq.html#pageview), you could pretty easily implement your own tracking via Google Analytics or some other mechanism that counts when the API is loaded.
