is it possible to open infowindow from html link in the page?

i've a list on my page, right under the map and i'm trying to open the infowindow by clickking it..

I just completed two maps that include that very ability. I used this example:

http://www.geocodezip.com/v3_MW_example_categories.html

as my starting point.

This is my example with just the clickable sidebar (no categories):

There are others depending on what you are trying to do.
