offline kml viewer

Hi, is there a chance to use the api just to render kml files in an offline enviroment?

Offline? The Google Maps JavaScript API v3 requires you to load the
api from a public site on the web.

If you mean on an intranet, that is also against the terms of use.

I'm not sure why you are asking the question but, you may be able to
use the Google Earth application to achieve your goal.

I would like to program a kml viewer with edition options just for my use but i think that would not need images all the time and i dont want to upload every kml file, just have the kml locally and edit it quickly with a preview on real time

Just because it is "just" for your use doesn't mean you can break the
terms of use.

Google Earth supports kml, it just isn't (quite) the same as Google
Maps or the Google Maps APIs.
