I would like to have MapTypes that include multiple layers. The idea
behind it is to have different MapTypes (e.g. Google and OSM) where
each type has multiple layers, from which the user can select one
(e.g. Google - Roadmap, Satellite or Terrain, OSM - Osmarenderer or
Mapnik) like used in http://www.dd4kids.de/uploads/ka-map.html. The
problem is that http://www.dd4kids.de/uploads/ka-map.html uses the API
version 2, where I want to use version 3.

Thanks in advance, suleiman

I know about the Overlay Map Types, but this is not what I want. I
want to have a hierarchical selection of the current map type, so that
related types appear together.
But as far as I see, I have to use a user defined control where I
place comboboxes and group them in a meaningful way...
