While I struggle to find an info[Window, Box, Bubble, *] solution which works, I keep coming back to a plain infoWindow to satisfy my needs.  However, there is at least one issue that I need to resolve.

1) I can't generate an infoWindow greater than 688 pixels, despite whatever I have maxWidth set to.  In the following example click anywhere on the map and an infoWindow will be created which has a maxWidth of 1000 but gets limited to 688 pixels.  I've tested this on a variety of systems and I get the same result on FireFox, Chrome and IE, but it works as expected on Safari.

Despite Version 3 now using square corners, it still loads this graphic

to provide the pointer and other furniture; that graphic has round corners.

InfoWindows with round corners are restricted to the size of this
graphic, so the maximum size is 688px.

InfoWindows with square corners are not graphics; they are div
elements in the DOM, appropriately styled. However it appears that the
code has not caught up with that change.
