Drag (Add) marker from a sidebar?

Hello,

Question : Is it possible to have a sidebar with possible markers /
icons, and to be able to drag them from the sidebar onto the map
(which would then add the marker to the map) ?

There were examples of that type of functionality posted to (or
referred to in) the v2 group. You might try a search over there, I
wouldn't think there would be much that would be v2 specific or that
wouldn't be fairly simple to port.
