403 error on DirectionsService

I've been getting a 403 error when I try to query directions using google.maps.DirectionsService()

It returns, "ERROR_UNKNOWN" from the google.maps.DirectionsStatus.OK

Chrome's Developer tool says: "GET http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js/DirectionsService.Route?4b0&5m2&1m1&2sPella%2C%20IA&5m2&1m1&2s1%20University%20Ave%20Bourbonnais%2C%20IL%2060914&6e0&12sen-US&100b0&callback=_xdc_._5wk3uq&token=110355 403 (Forbidden)"
