Hi google team and group pals.

My maps aren't working on mobile devices such as Iphone, Ipad or Ipod
touch.

They display the first picture but doesn't work, I mean, cannot move,
or drag markers, can't do nothing.

I am testing by changing Safari user agent to one of those devices.

example link?

www.map.quillamwa.com

It works normally if don't change user agent.

Ehmm, in that example, if you click the "Clicke Me" button below the
map (left corner) it uses Geolocalization functions documented at W3C
site.

It is kinda urgent, appreaciate any help with this.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,
Ciul.

As you're seeming to change the user agent just for fun, try not to
change the user agent just for fun.

The code the API serves depends on the client software as there are
browsers on the market that need quite a different code -
unfortunately.

Your map works ok on my Android ZTE Blade.
It's works but is approx 200 pixels in height so not very useable but
it DOES function.

Have you thought about installing SDKs for mobile devices that you
want your map to function on?
Most (or all) SDKs come bundled with an emulator that would give you a
more accurate indication of how you map works on that device than
simply changing the user agent on your desktop browser.

Your map, and geolocation, work for me on Android.

I wouldn't trust results from an emulator - they are often just the desktop browser code with a mobile skin.

I'm sure the Android emulator is a genuine Android browser.

The emulator runs a true Android firmware - there's forums out that
which detail how you can use other firmwares on the emulator or 'rip'
the emulator firmware and flash it to your Andoid device.
That wouldn't be possible unless the emulator is running a true
Android OS?

Martin.

Thanks all of you for answering.

Will await for some friend with some of these devices to try it on a
real one.

Nice that it being working on Android.

Best regards,
Ciul
