I am working on a project currently which requires as a part of the system data the specific geographical information about a specific part of the building on an address besides just the street address and get the longitude/ latitude for this spot for instance the exact location of the entrance of the CEPSR building in columbia university as opposed to the back entrance on the 122nd street.

Is this in any way possible

Please help

Sure, hire a surveyor?
Or, depending on what you mean by "exact", taking a GPS reading would
be within a few metres.
Or, put the address (530 West 120th Street New York) into
maps.google.com You might be able to use streetview to fine-tune
that.

I use a combination of street view and Google Earth to fine-tune. Or I request that my vendors send me the geocodes for their locations. I'm finding that more and more are able to provide that info.

BTW, I think 530 W. 120th St. is on the street side and not the campus side.

I wouldn't know, just quoting the official address
