Hello:

Is it possible to include static map references into HTML-based emails
that are generated from desktop/phone applications to tell other about
one's current location?

Best regards,

Manuel

Sure, it's only a URL for an image.

Right. And there are some wizards for creating the URL
http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/simplewizard/makestaticmap.html

Sure you can. But where is the advantage of this proceeding?
I see only disadvantages: many weak spots, possible viruses, exploits,
attacks and so on...

My mailer isn't able to display HTML and I'm not willing to change
that, because I only see advantages in this case: A mailer shouldn't
be like a browser.

Why can't you use a link for everyone's benefit?
