On the week of November 14, 2022 we will update available versions of the Maps JavaScript API. The versions will then be:
Weekly channel will serve 3.51
Quarterly channel will serve 3.50
Exact version numbers can be specified as v=3.51, v=3.50, v=3.49, or v=3.48.
Version 3.47 will be decommissioned. This was the last version supporting Internet Explorer 11.
If you don't specify a version (or request a retired version), you will be served a default version, which depending on your key configuration will be either 3.50 or 3.51. But a developer specified version will always be honored and served when requested when it's an existing version.
An undocumented client-side rate-limiting system implemented in the Maps JavaScript API has been deprecated as of October 2022, and will progressively be decommissioned starting January 2023.
You do not need to change your code, but you should be aware of possible changes in your usage and billing in the first and second quarter of 2023. Please see
