Limit plot points?

Hello,

I am making a mapping web program that and I need a little help....

I am just taking the geocodes from a database and adding markers to
the map. The database has about 11,000 marker information. Currently
the program is only displaying about 1000 of these.... is there a cut
off limit to how many plot points you can put on the map?
