hi all,
when displaying various photo spheres i have been published on maps.google.de then at view of 90 and / or 270 degrees i oftenly get displayed an black coloured circular segment at the bottom or also top (see attached file)
my panos mostly are published with 12.000 x 6.000 px.
without exception they're all black striped at bottom, nevertheless i uploaded a clean 2:1 equirectangular picture.
google please don't disturb me - what's going on?

just tested some other panos published on maps and / or street view. it seems that google is only using quadratic tiles. pano2vr and krpano cuts the equirectangular 2:1 photo in quadratic and also in rectangular non quadratic tiles.
i guess if a 2:1 photo is not dividable without rest google seems to add black stripes. how does the javascript-player handle this?
