    Как можно получить наименование близлежащего населенного пункта если у меня есть координаты?

Например.

Координаты: 56.838448,60.125294

Хотелось-бы получить близлежащий населенный пункт (Старые Решеты, Северка и т.д.)

Hello, 

Your best option would be to perform a reverse geocoding request with the Geocoding API.

e.g. 

http://maps.google.com/maps/api/geocode/json?sensor=false&latlng=56.838448,60.125294

This will give your the most accurate available geocode near this latlng. You could then use the result to provide your user with closest locality if available.
