2.178 released as v2.x and v2.176 released as v2

Yesterday, we pushed v2.178 as v2.x and v2.176 as v2. It's been a
while since our last release for v2 due to a few regression bugs being
found. There were a total of 6 issues resolved in this release for
v2.x, which includes changes for all versions between v2.173 and
2.178.
