How does a recently added location gets approved

Hi,

I have recently added 2 locations to mark buildings of our school? Status is shown as pending? Please let me know how does it gets approved and how long will it take to get approved?
Also, once approved, will these location be viewable on google maps ?

Hi Nukul,

The amount of time for a review varies with region; it just depends how many people are doing reviews in your area along with how many edits there are to review.  What you can do to get it reviewed faster is do reviews of other edits.  This makes your edit move up the review list and it is presented to a reviewer quicker.  You can learn how to review by watching this video recently put together by the Map Maker team.  http://youtu.be/LqMTdw_pkbU

And yes, after it is approved, it will show on Google Maps.

I can see its been approved by 2 reviewers but status is still Pending? How long and how many reviewers should approve it to get this FInally approved ?

If a Google Reviewer or Regional Expert (you can tell them by their icon when they review) reviews it it will usually take only one approval, sometimes 2 or 3 for high-profile features. I think I remember reading somewhere that if only regular users review it can take more than a dozen approvals. But a Google Reviewer will almost always be around to review your edit during business hours. I imagine yours will get reviewed today or tomorrow.

After it's approved it usually takes a very short amount of time to appear on the map. Under an hour. Some features can take longer, and some edits take longer as well. Direction updates can take months, for instance.

Mine is approved for a couple of days now, but still not go live on maps. It's already published on map maker, but how can it be updated on the maps? How long will it take? It seems not right away.
