India - (Delhi-Mumbai) NH 8 renamed !

Hi !

Major national highway in India NH8 (Delhi-Mumbai-Delhi) is wrongly named as 'Ajmer Road' in both direction.

I have corrected road in one direction (Delhi-to-Mumbai) but it is pending for approval for long time !

It is not possible to delete name from road in (Mumbai-to-Delhi) direction without first edit being approved.

Correcting this is important as its one of the major highway in India. I think this change is only possible by moderator ?

Government of India vide Notification No. S.O.542(E) dated 5th March 2010 has renamed all National Highways and as per the notification the said highway 'Delhi-Mumbai' forms part of the NH 48. Please also see the map of national highways available in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Highways_in_India (shown as where's my NH)

This is NOT related to new numbering system :) I have NOT renamed it
to new number 'NH 48'.
The existing number is 'NH 8' and that entire road (both ways) is
renamed to 'Ajmer Road' which is very wrong.
