Is it possible to see maps of India with region boundaries. For
example Karnataka State demarcated by boundary. Say Bangalore city
boundary drawn and visual on the map. I would also love to get to
regions event smaller than city.

Any help on this front is appreciated.

Vikas, thanks for posting this request. I need to get some info from
the engineering team before I have you a 100% sure answer, but I
suspect that current functionality is related to the issue that Jabran
posted on the Issue Tracker that I answered earlier today. Check it
out here: http://code.google.com/p/google-mapmaker/issues/detail?id=96

I'll post back with an update once I hear back from the team.

Cheers,

Jen.

Dear Vikas,

I checked in with the team and it turns out they didn't see an issue
here. You can in fact see the boundary for Karnataka (light-blue
dashed line).

http://www.google.com/mapmaker?hl=en&q=Karnataka&gw=30&ll=14.962521,76.282854&spn=8.674272,11.777344&z=7
(the entire region highlighted when you hover on the marker)

City boundaries (Bangalore) are not shown on the map directly, but the
area is highlighted when you hover on the marker.

Cheers,

Jen.

Hi Vikas,
You can see the lower level administrative boundaries like Localities
and Sub-Localities on Google Map Maker by either searching for them in
the search bar of MapMaker or zooming in using the Navigation controls
(Please see this page for more details:
http://sites.google.com/site/mapmakeruserhelp/introduction/navigation).

An example: Gandhi Nagar Locality in Bangalore:
http://www.google.com/mapmaker?hl=en&q=gandhi+nagar+Bangalore&gw=39&ll=12.978903,77.576566&spn=0.015724,0.020428&z=16&iwloc=0_0&fid=4300398982943385263:4179072432667965213

Please note the 'dash-dot' lines demarcating the borders of adjacent
Localities and the 'dot-dot-dash' lines demarcating the Sub-
Localities.
